More sunlight and ventilation with Awning Windows
The Challenge
Our West Melbourne customer wanted more sunlight in a corner of their home as well as to replace their old fixed windows on another wall. Additionally, they were seeking to add a more contemporary touch to the front of the house, particularly a dark aesthetic to contrast with the beautiful brick work on the exterior.
The Solution
The corner walls were cut to make an opening for a corner awning window. The corner awning window was installed to provide a large area for the sunlight to come through. We then installed awning windows to replace their old fixed windows on two sides of the walls. All were made with German-manufactured Aluplast frames in black to give a sleek contemporary look and to make their home more energy efficient.
The Outcome
The customer was very happy with how much sunlight and air enters their home now compared to their previous setup. This part of the house is now bright and lively and well-ventilated. The sunlight comes from two directions as it moves across the sky since a corner window was installed rather than just a single window facing only one direction.
The customer said,
“My home gets more sunlight and much needed air! We also love the look of the window colours…it adds a modern touch to our home.”
