It is 1959 vintage and the main picture window was very shabby. In our research Winplex windows stood out in the presentation of its product. The quote was very professional and we also felt a personal touch as Jerry Pantelios had local connections with the famous Jerry’s milk bar. Jerry suggested that we have a fixed window to maximise our stunning view. This proved to be great advice. He emphasised the quality of the German materials and this was the decider in accepting the quote. We also committed to a security door and the total price was surprisingly reasonable. The removal of the old window and new installation was not easy, but the installer did a brilliant job. The final finish exceeded our expectations and we could not believe how the window improved the view of the bay. The door installation also proved to be more complex than originally thought given the nature fixing to old concrete. The installer once again persevered and gave a great result. We are so pleased with the whole process from beginning to end and would recommend Winplex to anyone.

They were very dynamic to quote, measure on site and the installation went ahead of schedule despite being a very challenging job. The team works very well together and they support each other making it pain free. In very short time my home  became 40% more thermal efficient than with the old aluminium ones, and with total noise insulation. The windows have elevated the whole house. I knew this technology from Europe but when you buy these windows in Australia is critical to find an experienced vendor with a great installation team. I chose them for those two factors and I did not regretted it. It is also a great advantage to be able to see their showroom to make a decision regarding if they are what you want for your place. When I did my research and collected quotes, they came very close to top of the range aluminium traditional windows but these ones not only look much more solid but their performance is far superior so the $2k difference became un important. We opted to go with Winplex's Tilt and Turn product as it gave us the best of both worlds, a door AND a window!  It's just been installed and we couldn't be happier.  A nice clean job, the installer filled all the nail holes in the new architrave and siliconed around the door - and the hardware looks good and feels high quality. Casement Windows vs Awning Windows

Awning windows tend to have a limited opening, whereas a casement window could open all the way like a door. For this reason, casement windows allow for better ventilation than awning windows. Having the ability to open the casement window fully also allows for easy access. For instance, if you have a planter or flower holder outside of your window sill, simply open your casement window to water and enjoy your lovely florals.

Winplex windows comes with a winding functionality to make it easy to wind in and out rather than having to reach out to close the window. At the end of the day, it really comes down to your own personal preference. While both are good options, we actually recommend considering the Tilt and Turn windows which are superior in security and flexibility.

Casement Windows vs Sliding Windows

Unlike casement windows, sliding windows tend to have larger openings, which could cause too much breeze to come into the house. Additionally, sliding windows can get dirt in crevices that affect the sliding mechanism.

These parts of the sliding window can be difficult to clean as well. Another issue with sliding windows is that grease could dry out causing it to be harder to slide.

We offer 2 options for fly-screens. asshown below:

Espag

The espag awning has a simple mechanism with just the turn of a handle and the window opens outwards. This hardware is imported from Germany and requires Retractable Fly-Screens. This will be required to be fitted after the installation is completed and is not something that we include.

Truth

The truth hardware set is an American winding system that winds out from the bottom. It includes 2 Lock-in Points on either side and can have Fixed Fly-Screens fitted prior to installation.
